Throughout his career, Tuan has focused on areas where energy and finance converge. Prior to his role in business development at HelioVolt, a thin-film solar company, Tuan covered energy and chemical companies at Morgan Stanley and Banc of America Securities in New York. During his time in leveraged finance, he worked on multi-billion dollar transactions and was recognized as a leading analyst by Institutional Investor magazine. Tuan’s experience also includes time at the Austin Clean Energy Incubator and Strategic Value Partners, a fixed-income hedge fund, where he served as a Director overseeing energy and industrials investments. He holds the CFA charter, a BSBA from the University of Tulsa and an MBA from the University of Texas, where he was in the Honors and Venture Fellows programs, respectively. Tuan often speaks at industry conferences and also served on the Austin Local Solar Advisory Committee, a City Council-appointed committee to devise a plan for citywide solar development. He lives in Austin with his wife, who is a public schoolteacher, and two daughters.
Trey Jacobson has worked with PowerFin since the company's entrance into San Antonio in 2015. In addition to overseeing engagements with local community affairs firms throughout the country, Trey also manages PowerFin's governmental affairs activities in San Antonio. Prior to PowerFin, he worked as a government affairs specialist, economic development consultant and in various capacities for elected officials at the City of San Antonio, most recently serving as the Mayor's Chief of Staff. As a trusted and long-time member of the San Antonio community, where Trey and his wife raised their three children, he is often sought to help resolve complex economic and policy matters. Trey studied at Texas A&M University where he graduated with an Masters in Public Administration as well as a BBA in Marketing.
Andra Allen is a dedicated CPA with over twenty years of experience performing financial reporting and analysis in the private equity, real estate and renewable energy sectors. Andra has worked in various industries including financial securities, government, retail and renewable energy. At PowerFin, she is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and asset management. Her duties also include full-cycle accounting of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation. Prior to PowerFin, Andra performed financial reporting for large institutional investors, private foundations and individuals. Ms. Allen earned her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
